A High Point (NC) University golfer, he won the Fall 2010 Sea Trail Invitational and tied for second in the Spring 2011 Lonnie Barton Invitational. He tied for 11th in the 2011 Big South Conference Championship. In 2010, he tied for sixth in the Ohio Amateur Championship.
